Vice-Admiral Samuel Afolayan (rtd) is a distinguished Career officer of the Nigerian Navy. He attended the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA) from where he obtained a P sc+ degree. He is also a Fellow of the Nigerian War College (FWC). He reached the peak of his career and served as The Chief of Naval Staff from where he retired after years of meritorious service in 2005.
He is currently into large scale commercial farming and is the Chairman of Special Royal Farm, Osi, Kwara State . He sits on the Board of DVCF Oil & Gas Plc. as the Chairman.

He holds a Bachelor of Science [Honours] degree in Accounting and Masters in Business Administration majoring in Finance. He has over 19 years experience in Investment Banking. He was Divisional Director Investment Banking/Consumer Banking and Registrar in International Bank Plc, Director in IMB MORGAN Plc, Energy Masterfund, Epic Dynamics Plc, Resort Securities & Trust Limited and DEAP Capital & Trust Management Plc.

Currently a Director in Texaco Nigeria Plc, He is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas sector. His career spans over a period of 25 years in the operations of the activities of the oil majors that include Gulf Oil Company Nigeria Ltd., Texaco Nigeria Plc and Chevron Nigeria Ltd. He is the Executive Chairman, City Links Investment Ltd and current Chairman of DEAP Capital & Trust Management Plc.

Mr. Arogundade has a B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science/Mathematics from the University of Lagos in 1982. He is currently an Executive Director in charge of Operations and Environment in Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited, an Information and Technology Communication Consulting Company.

He is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University , Zaria , and the Founding Partner of Pyramids, a consulting firm. He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors (IoD), member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, Nigerian Institute of Architects and the Franco-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He is a Director in Resort Securities & Trust Limited and Ecobank of Nigeria Plc among others.
